Where We Stand is the JRNL302 project by Bernadette Clarke, Claire McMahon, Ibrahim Chanaoui and Phi Phi Nguyen. It focuses on the proposed development at West Culburra and Long Bow Point by the Halloran Trust and the impact of this development on the Culburra Beach community.

We have chosen this project topic to give a spotlight to the Culburra community who are at standstill, as they face the difficult decision between protecting their township or sacred Aboriginal land. We also believe that the proximity of this story to the Illawarra region makes it both relevant and local and therefore of more interest to our potential readers, as does the timeliness of the story also as progress is still ongoing.
