Halloran Trust Proposal
Since 2014, the small seaside village of Culburra Beach has stood at a crossroad with ongoing developments set forth by the Halloran Trust Proposal.
The proposal of a potential golf course to be built in the west and the possibility of 650 housing developments looming around the corner has left many opinions divided. How do you choose between sustaining a town or a culture?

"It's a pristine area along our coast. It's surrounded by river, lake, and ocean. It's a really unique area that shouldn't be touched." - Jason Bridgen

THE STORIES
A QUIET TOWN
"That's why we live in this little town, otherwise we'd move to Bondi if we wanted an overrun township".
BUILDING A FUTURE
"Our permanent population decreased in the three-year census figures, and over the ten year period went backwards."
THE SALT WATER PEOPLE
"Sometimes you can't stop it from happening, but we need to at least be part of the conversation and have a say in it."
ALONG THE WATER
"We urge the Independent Planning Commission to heed this advice, and note that the application did not assess potential impacts on water quality".
